My Family

Image
If we start with my house, we are a family of four, my sister, my grandparents and I (and cats and dogs). But actually, my close family is larger, my aunt, my uncle and two cousins (and their cats and dog) live no more than five houses away.  We have always come together to celebrate even the smallest things, birthdays, good morning from work, university or college, holidays and any good news in general.  I see my uncle and aunt almost every day and I try to eat with them at least twice a week, my aunt comes to see my grandparents every day so we usually eat a lot together, in addition to all the little celebrations. We love spending time with the family, eating together and enjoying our company.  Living together is good because whenever there is an emergency there is always someone who can help, and I really appreciate that. Last week my sister was bitten by a dog and since we don't know how to drive and my grandfather is currently in bed, we couldn't take her to the ...

My Pets

For as long as I can remember my family has had cats, we have also had a dog once, but she escaped. At the moment I live with three cats: Lucero, Frodo and Saphira.  Lucero is the oldest and smallest one. She’s 12 years old and I have had her since I was in fourth grade. She’s my best friend, we sleep together and she’s always by my side in classes and when I study. Lucero doesn’t like other people or cats very much and tends to hiss at every one but me, unless she’s cold in which case she’ll accept pets from my sister and mother.  Frodo is my sister’s cat. He’s 11 years old, big with white and grey hear and green eyes. My sister and mother love and spoil him very much and I believe he thinks he’s a prince. He loves to eat, especially tuna fish and sweet stuff. Frodo often accompany my sister while she eats (in case he can get a treat haha) and they often take naps together in a hammock on our backyard. Lastly, Saphira is our youngest cat. She’s just 8 months old and we...

My Best Holidays

I think the best vacations of my life were in the summer of 2020. I felt so trapped in Santiago that having the opportunity to go out was something wonderful and incredible. I went for two weeks to see one of my best friends in Talca, since as a result of the pandemic she went to live in the south. Talca is very big and if you go a bit away from the city you can find a lot of nature;farm animals, wild animals and many beautiful plants. I went with another friend and we did many things; We cooked, bathed in the river, hiked and helped in the garden of my best friend's father. I think it was the best vacation since it was very spontaneous and simple. Also, southern Chile is very beautiful and relaxing. Nothing compares to spending time with friends around the fire and being among the trees. I hope I can repeat those vacations and see my friends as soon as possible, since I miss them so much.

Brazil

Hello, my name is Luna Zuniga. I am on my second year of social work and the country that I would like to visit is Brazil, mainly for its beautiful landscapes, but also because I’ve been told it’s culture it’s really interesting. I went there once for a short vacation and really loved it, but I only visited some beaches.                                                 I know that it is a very large country with a triple climate, it has a huge jungle with diverse wildlife and tribes still living in it.  I would like to visit many beaches and touristic cities I would also like to go on hikes inside the jungle (if it is allowed).   I would like to live there for a little while to learn Portuguese and learn more about their culture, make friends and really get to know the country better and not just as a tourist.
